+++++ Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor turned away an emergency application on Nov. 10 to halt New York City’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate that applies to firefighters, police officers, and other government employees. +++++
+++++ The appeal was from workers who were fired after the city refused their requests to be exempted on religious grounds. Many people object to the various COVID-19 vaccines for religious reasons because aborted human fetal cell lines were involved in their testing, development, or production.
The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a public interest law firm specializing in religious freedom cases, argued in the application filed on Nov. 2 that it was unfair that unvaccinated adult entertainers and athletes were exempted from the mandate while other unvaccinated workers were forced into compliance, and were fired if they refused the jab. +++++
+++++ ADF had argued in a brief supporting the application that the employees urgently needed relief because they are “suffering the loss of First Amendment rights, are facing deadlines to move out of homes in foreclosure or with past-due rents, are suffering health problems due to loss of their city health insurance and the stress of having no regular income, and resorting to food stamps and Medicaid just to keep their families afloat.” +++++

We tread a fine line, with reports from the field about my health and living circumstances.
Before departing the sh*thole California, a year ago? I was up to three walks a day, one mile each. At a decent pace. Which varied with the time of day, the temperature, and my mood. Sometimes quite jaunty. Maintaining bone density, muscle tone, and digestion.
So in spite of pretty much having worn this chassis out. I am/was hanging tougher than a mutha.
Haven't reinstituted our walking program, since arriving in AZ, a year ago. So much existential boosheet to deal with (currently living in my van, the last three months).
But the biggie was the State (Fed?) limiting the amount of meds I can receive, on a daily basis. Now ONE THIRD, of what I was previously taking (on pain management).
It's been quite an adjustment. As I used to tell people, who lived in the monster (750 unit) condo complex, where I lived in Cali. Who would bragg on MY walking.

We'll try to get back to the egg, when we get off the street. Which may be in as little as two months?
But living in my van, I was foolishly sleeping without a sleeping bag (was 35° inside, this morning).
Reason? So much mechanical degradation of this chassis, basic movement in even bed. Can be quite challenging. And thus, why compound it.
But shopping at the you know where yesterday. I happened upon a brand new, quality, name brand sleeping bag. That the clerk had yet to place on the shelf/rack proper. For a whole ten dollars.
Gave it a whirl last night. And for the first time in a week. Woke up without frozen toes.
And the L*rd shall provide ...

It was a lot of work. Lazy beeches. Think everything should be handed to them (I got a new gym membership, YESTERDAY).
I earned every prize. The endless, neverending hunt was part of it.
