Permanent Sunset
MY HEART IS BREAKING INTO A THOUSAND PIECES
Today, I am just overwhelmed at the latest arrival to the Town's homeless population. Seeing rundown, broken down aged vehicles under repair. And their owners equally in disrepair. Dire writ large upon their weathered faces. And as I gaze upon this sordid sight, I hear my heart loudly break into a thousand pieces. SMASH BANG.
Looking at the dirty, dusty cars, the roof overloaded with large black plastic bags. I was transformed back in time. Before a video screen. Watching the Grapes of Wrath. And the hopelessness and despair of the Joad's. In their rundown jalopy, inching along the highway. To whatever destiny awaits. Without so much as a nickel, to buy a loaf of bread, in 1929 (?).
Hounded and chased, from every spot they dare stop and rest. Every spot, already overloaded and despoiled, by the previous carload of brokedown and busted Okies.
(Two minute seventeen second, video excerpt)
This is NOT a movie people. This is real, and it is happening.
We now are upon the precipice of a Holy War. Against the Forces of Darkness.
These little bugs, these insects. And so much grain that they have damaged.
I was looking at the pic'y, of the gyno-feebs, on bended knee. Saluting BLM. And for such "courage"? These twaaats get some sort of in House FBI award. You know, for umm … bravery.
Let me spell this out for you once more. The sun rises in the East. And sets in the West (and no, I don't know the Sun's pronouns).
And if enough people don't get off the couch, put down the remote. Suit up. Show up. Mount up and ride?
Then it is permanent sunset, on The Greatest Gift Ever Known.
