State court rejects Williams’ request for stay
SAN FRANCISCO - The state Supreme Court late Sunday refused to grant a stay of execution for gang member and convicted killer Stanley Tookie Williams, meaning Williams will be executed early Tuesday unless the governor grants clemency or a last-ditch federal appeal succeeds.

He was condemned for the murder of a man during a robbery in February 1979 and the slayings of a couple and their daughter at a South Los Angeles motel the following month.
No he was convicted, now as a result of those convictions, he is condemned (to die).
has apologized for founding the Crips
No ..... he was a participant in the Crips gang after his conviction and incarceration (is this a great country or what?). And never lifted a finger to help destroy it.
And lastly (firstly?): a stay of execution for gang member and convicted killer. Having been/being a gang member isn't why he now gets to taste the state's punishment. He callously brutally murdered four human beings. He is an unrepentant killer. The convited killer part is not a secondary rejoinder. It is the all, the everything.

"The facts do not justify overturning the jury's verdict."
