The Edge of Disaster

How much baggage did Rumsfeld have, who knows? Myself ... I know what I know (what little it is), and that's what I know. I'm not intererested in rummaging through all things Rummy. In order to have an opinion of the man. But here is the famous quote:

"There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know"

This land now filled with Hate. Growing anger, frustration. And now … real actual food hunger. In thus we get indifference, selfishness and greed. Everyone has become gruff and on edge. All these real world demons people are battling ... runaway inflation, galling preventable shortages, a completely decimated rental housing market, and on and on.

The populace are lost in their own personal individual struggles of actual survival. This no longer a Country of shared beliefs, with a collective soul. It well and truly is now every man and woman for themselves. 

And in such, the darkest of days approach. There has never been a time in the history of this Nation, like that which we are experiencing right now.

Real threats to the survival of the Republic [but (maybe) the buildings will still be standing (that of course is my standard Rush shoutout. As he was wont to say, everything won't just disappear [into a black hole], the buildings will still be standing. And I, forever disappointed that he believed his primary job, was not to create panic)].

Threats from within, and they are many. We are possibly on the brink of financial collapse (and yet they still print and spend money like there is no tomorrow).

And of course the illegitimate, unelected, National Socialist Junta. Who are actively trying to destroy well … just about everything. And are actually succeeding.

And of course their handmaidens, the FNIC (which now includes Fox), the CTO's (Bozo Bezos, Manboobs Gates, Zuckermaggot, Jackwad Dorsey, Pig Greywall), and the Deep State/Fourth Reich [FBI/CIA/NSA/IRS/DOJ/DOD (all of those in the Fourth Reich, are actually equal partners in the destruction).

And then of course their unelected army of Brown Shirts, the Deranged Lunatic Left (as typified by Taylor Lorenz).

Their elected army includes Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Three Chins Nadler, Schumer, AOC (and on into infinity). That's just the internal threats. Which are all too real. The external threats? Another long list …

Fractured, our world, our lives, our Country now fractured. And the likelihood of a return to normal is nil. Is a far greater likelihood that the lines of division will expand. Two America's, at war with each other.

Resilience. What these who lived through the Great Depression, learned. How to survive. We now are upon the precipice of another learning experience. And it will hurt. And it will leave a mark. As we inch ever closer to the edge.
