The first Volksempfänger, an affordable and extremely popular radio, was introduced in 1933, the year Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany. This was no coincidence.

+++++ Andrew Stuart Bergerson states in the German Studies Review, that the Nazis also took control of radio organizations and programming in the 1930s. “In the same stroke, industrialists profited from the high volume of sales, low-income consumers were given access to this new media, and the Nazi regime was given more direct access to the Volk.”
The fact that the Volksempfänger was a propaganda machine was never hidden, but because it was cheap, and could play music along with Hitler’s speeches, most people bought one anyway. As historian Eric Rentschler cites in the New German Critique, “By 1941 65% of German households owned a ‘people’s receiver’ [Volksempfänger].”
Although they were designed to tune in only to local stations, it was possible to get international transmissions like the BBC in the evening hours. Listening to these “enemy” stations became a crime punishable by death during World War II.
The Volksempfänger recalls the how the Third Reich eliminated the freedom of press, and replaced it with propaganda that infiltrated every facet of daily life. +++++

In a recently reported horror story from The Associated Press, Alan Nichols, 61, was successfully killed after a quick one-month waiting period as he was suffering from hearing loss.
Aside from bouts of depression over his hearing, Nichols was otherwise healthy.
However, his brother claimed doctors railroaded Nichols into killing himself.
Nichols’ family said that hospital staff helped him request euthanasia and pushed him to do it. +++++

Office of Special Counsel dismisses FBI whistleblower complaint about the agency

+++++ Two days after the Midterm elections, the federal Office of Special Counsel (OSC) rejected a complaint by FBI whistleblower Stephen Friend. Special Agent Friend had complained of alleged bias and mishandling by the Dept. of Justice and FBI when it comes to prosecuting cases from the January 6, 2021 pro-Trump rally and Capitol riots.
In a letter, the OSC noted that the agencies are offered wide latitude in how they handle various cases, and so "we cannot find with a substantial likelihood that the agency has violated a law, rule, or regulation, or has abused its authority. Therefore, we will take no further action in this matter." +++++

Trip and fall, while hiking in rocky mountainous terrain, alone. Forgetting to charge his cell phone beforehand. Breaking his back on the rocks. As he rapidly cartwheels down the steep slope. And then is unable to move.
And is eaten alive ... by rodents. As he painfully tries to somehow slowly crawl away, with only his hands/arms.
