Bush administration drops ‘bunker buster’ plan

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Bush administration has abandoned research into a nuclear “bunker-buster” warhead, deciding instead to pursue a similar device using conventional weaponry, a key Republican senator said Tuesday.

Ostensibly, this a small budgetary matter [having given the link only a quick perusal apriori (seems that is the genesis for the story)]. Nixing the funds for the initial or continued development/research.

We know about this, because we DO live in a transparent society. This isn't Iraq pre invasion, Iran, or Syria. We operate on general principles. Often slow in functioning. Sometimes satisfying these principles, makes the job of protecting us, more difficult.

Myself, I don't think it the best of ideas to publicly discuss the mechanics of ending Iran's turn to the darkside (especially our Govt's or military's toolbox items). Doesn't mean Iran's days as a potential or real nuclear threat, aren't numbered.

P.S. That party won't be televised.
