France Doesn't Get It

..
'French riots defy police crackdown, spread to other cities'

1 hour, 17 minutes ago

PARIS (AFP) - French authorities have promised to crack down on riots that have gripped suburbs around Paris and other cities after a new night of violence that left nearly 900 vehicles torched and raised suspicions that those taking part were becoming organised.

Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy said after a government crisis meeting on Saturday that officials were "unanimous in their firmness" in bringing to an end the rampages that are now well into their second week

Yo Frenchie .... the riots are not some autonomous entity. It is an action, borne of a collective of individuals. Who think and act alike. Becoming organised? Really, you just figure that one out.

An end the rampages .... Sure, you can put a stop to what we see in the news, for now. But until you look into the hearts of those rioting? Will you know, will you understand. The riots are only a symptom of a disease.

Addendum 9:40 a.m.

A miss is as good as a mile .... or in this case, three quarters of a miss, is as good as two miles. More speculation/theory on the cause/s of the Paris riots. While I can agree in part about ghettos and poverty, hopelessnes and despair. As being some of the tinder, even the ground upon which it lay. The fuel, the spark, the wind that fans the flames is something far greater. Greater than mere disadvantagion.
