Evening Link Dump

Folks .... you just can't make this stuff up. Leave it to the Pale's to provide some laughter in the darkness.

"I don't want to diminish the threat of terrorism at all, it is extremely serious, but on a long-term global basis, global warming is the most serious problem we are facing."

Wolfensohn fed up with delays, threatens to pick up marbles and go home
By Associated Press November 13, 2005

International Mideast envoy James Wolfensohn on Sunday warned that time is running out for Israel and the Palestinians to wrap up a deal on opening the Gaza Strip's border crossings ....

Nothing to see here except the normal repetitive (and blind), poor me nonsense from the Pale's. This from Dahlan no less ....

Mohammed Dahlan participated in Sunday night's negotiations .... Dahlan complained that since the Israeli withdrawal, "Gaza has became an even bigger prison."

Prison .... country. Make it what ever the f*ck you want. It's yours dipsh*t.

Yes, everyone (already) has this Brussel's Journal post. There's a reason, very impressive writing about a less than impressive country.

1,100 Lawyers Leave Saddam Defense Team

Sunday November 13, 2005 2:46 PM By JAMAL HALABY

AMMAN, Jordan (AP) - Some 1,100 Iraqi lawyers have withdrawn from Saddam Hussein's defense team, citing insufficient protection following the slayings of two peers representing co-defendants of the ousted Iraqi leader.

Did I miss something here? Eleven hundred fookin lawyers? Just pour salt on the garden slug already. Eleven hundred freakin lawyers ...WTF?,1280,-5412002,00.html

I'm really starting to fall in love with the word again. This link via is simply splendiferous. Think Henry Miller, Paris .... fall, 2005 (O.K. I'm exaggerating). Colorful, perhaps too. For any p.c. types. But I didn't write it. And I cadged the link from somewheres else. But you can decide for yourself (oh Elmo don't get all hippie dippie on us now).
